9.3 million views in one week on Disney+

The first episode of “Agatha All Along” reached 9.3 million views on Disney+ in its first seven days of streaming.

The series is a spin-off of the 2021 Marvel limited series WandaVision and premiered on September 18th. Disney defines a view as the total time seen divided by the running time. Therefore, the episode was watched for a total of about 6.5 million hours when multiplying the views by the running time.

The opening of “Agatha All Along” appears to be roughly comparable to that of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” which debuted in December 2023 with 13.3 million views in six days, as well as “The Acolyte,” the star of the June 2024 war series that reached 11.1 million views in five days. However, because Disney has not provided statistics measured over a standardized time period, it is difficult to make conclusive comparisons. However, “Agatha” is definitely behind “Ahsoka,” the Star Wars series that premiered in August 2023 and reached a higher total in a shorter period of time: 14 million views in five days.

“Agatha All Along” stars Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness, who, according to the official plot, “is left dejected and powerless after a suspicious goth teenager (Joe Locke) helps her break free from a twisted spell.” Her interest becomes awakened when he asks her to take him on the legendary Witch's Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what she misses. Together, Agatha
and this mysterious teenager forms a desperate circle and makes his way further and further down the road. The cast also includes Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili as well as Debra Jo Rupp, Patti LuPone and Aubrey Plaza.

The series hails from Marvel Studios, with Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos and Jac Schaeffer as executive producers and Trevor Waterson as co-producer.
