NCP chief Baba Siddique succumbs to bullet injuries in Mumbai

Senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party Baba Siddique According to Mumbai Police, he died on Saturday after being shot multiple times by unidentified gunmen.
The incident took place near the office of Zeeshan Siddiqui, son of Baba Siddiqui Bandra East. Baba Siddiqui suffered several times shot He injured himself and was rushed to Lilavati Hospital for medical treatment. According to officials, he was in critical condition when he was taken to the hospital and sustained injuries to his chest and abdomen.
The attack involved three attackers and authorities are now investigating to uncover the motive and identify the perpetrators.
Two people have been arrested so far.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said one of the accused was from UP and the other was from Haryana. The third defendant is on the run.
“I have given instructions to the police that no one should take the law into their hands in Mumbai. And the underworld should not rise up,” Shinde said.

A two-time BMC founder, Siddique won the Bandra West constituency in 1999 on a Congress ticket and successfully retained his seat in the 2004 and 2009 elections. Siddique was also the Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies in the Congress-NCP government from 2004 to 2008. He joined the NCP earlier this year.
Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Anand Dubey expressed serious concerns over the safety of former MPs in the state. He asked Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis and CM Eknath Shinde to resign from their posts.
“If former MLAs in our city of Mumbai are not safe, if government leaders are not safe, then how will this government protect the common people?
