College football scores, games, updates: USC at Michigan, Utah at Oklahoma State and more

The fourth week of the college football season marks the start of conference play for many teams, and that includes two games between the top 15 teams. Both matchups could prove decisive at the end of the season.

Here are the most important games remaining on Saturday.

(All times are East Coast times and all The odds are from BetMGM.)

Time: 3:30 p.m. | TV: CBS | Line: USC -6 | Total: 44.5

Michigan will use Alex Orji at quarterback against the Trojans after Davis Warren started the first three games and was largely ineffective. The Wolverines will likely employ a run-heavy attack that will test a USC defense that suddenly looks very aggressive.

Time: 4:00 p.m. | TV: Fox | Line: Oklahoma State -2.5 | Total: 52.5

After missing Utah's win over Utah State in Week 3, all signs point to Cameron Rising playing against the Cowboys. And that's great news for a game that could have a huge impact on the top of the Big 12 standings. The Cowboys are favorites at home after Utah was a slight favorite earlier in the week.

Time: 7:30 p.m. | TV: ABC | Line: Tennessee -7 | Total: 57.5

Former Oklahoma quarterback and assistant Josh Heupel returns to Norman as the Volunteers' head coach on Saturday night. UT quarterback Nico Iamaleava has become an early Heisman Award favorite with his play so far, and this strong offense will put pressure on Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold to get something going in the passing game.

Live56 updates

  • Utes closes the bag

Utah managed a 12-play, 63-yard run before a sack forced them to make a field goal. Kicker Cole Becker tied the score at 3-3 with a 43-yard run.

  • USC is satisfied with FG

The Trojans had a solid drive before it fizzled out in the red zone, but they still had a lead at the Big House with just over four minutes left in the half.

The highlight of the ride was this catch and run by Zachariah Branch:

  • Touch down, Michigan!

The Wolverines' running game dominates. Donovan Edwards just scored a 40-yard touchdown through the heart of the USC defense and Michigan has already rushed for 178 yards.

  • Oklahoma State Interception!

Isaac Wilson throws his first pick of the day on a deep ball that OSU's Trey Rucker snatches out of the air. But the Cowboys can't do anything with their possession and have to punt it back to the Utes.

  • OK State is first on board

In a game where points may be tight, the Cowboys score a field goal and take a 3-0 lead. The battle for the Big 12 will likely depend on how well freshman Isaac Wilson adjusts in his second start. Cam

  • The Utes tried fourth-and-2 at the Oklahoma State 32-yard line, but Isaac Wilson's pass was incomplete.

  • Touch down, Michigan!

The Wolverines tie the game with 3:10 minutes left in the first quarter. Kalel Mullings breaks through the Trojans' defense and sprints 53 yards for a touchdown.

  • Utah moves the ball after Oklahoma State fails to score on its first possession. Isaac Wilson starts at quarterback for the Utes because Cameron Rising reportedly didn't feel well during pregame warmups.

  • Touchdown UCLA

Meanwhile, UCLA responded to LSU’s opening point with one of its own.

Ethan Garbers threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Jack Pedersen to tie the score at 7:7.

  • While USC and Michigan rely on field position play to begin their Big Ten battle, Utah and Oklahoma State begin their Big 12 play in Stillwater.

  • Michigan and USC exchange punts

Neither the Wolverines nor the Trojans can do much on their first possessions of the game. The Trojans finished the game as favorites by 4.5 points and the over/under was 44.

  • Final score: Ohio State 49, Marshall 14

The Buckeyes' running attack was unstoppable in this game. Quinshon Judkins led the way with 173 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns on 14 carries.

  • We're heading to the Big House! Michigan will have the ball first, with new starter Alex Orji at quarterback.

  • Final score: Clemson 59, NC State 35

The Wolf Pack was able to add a few late touchdowns, but the Tigers left no doubt as to whether they are among the ACC contenders this season.

  • Florida wins SEC

With an away win at Mississippi State, the Gators could have saved Billy Napier's job (for at least another week).

  • Touchdown, NC State

The Wolfpack hasn't thrown in the towel yet, but they're just too far behind at this point. The score is now 59-28 after a touchdown run by Demarcus Jones.

  • Touchdown Ohio State

It's another rushing touchdown for the Buckeyes, this time by Quinshon Judkins.

Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson now have 249 yards on 20 carries with 4 touchdowns.

  • Jeremiah Smith scores for OSU

The Buckeyes have the upper hand in the Horseshoe and freshman phenom Jeremiah Smith has found the end zone for his fourth touchdown of the season – this time with a 53-yard catch-and-run.

  • Choose 6 Clemson!

The Tigers score an additional defensive touchdown when Ashton Hampton steps in front of a short-thrown ball from NC State's CJ Bailey and returns it 53 yards.
