Jaquan Brisker's message to Bears fans after disheartening Week 3 loss

The Chicago Bears (1-2) suffered a disheartening 21-16 loss to the Indianapolis Colts (1-2), which was all the more frustrating considering there were opportunities to win the game.

The Bears offense once again struggled to get into rhythm — or even into the running game — against the NFL's worst run defense. The defense did a good job of containing quarterback Anthony Richardson — who threw two interceptions and nearly lost another turnover that the refs disallowed — but struggled to stop running back Jonathan Taylor, who ran for 110 yards.

Of course, Bears fans were frustrated with this loss, especially when it came to the coaching staff. Head coach Matt Eberflus continues to have problems with game management, while Eberflus' personally selected offensive coordinator Shane Waldron once again had problems with game management.

But safety Jaquan Brisker, who has been in Chicago since Eberflus' first season, took to X (formerly Twitter) to offer some words of encouragement to Bears fans.

“We will be fine. #Trust,” Brisker wrote.

His teammate, experienced safety Kevin Byard, also got involved.

“Tough loss but I still believe in this team. #BearDown,” he wrote.

After three weeks, the Bears are 1-2 and there are a lot of questions. But the good news is that we are only three games into a 17-game season and we can win some games. Chicago has a chance to turn things around and it seems like the players believe that will happen.
