Jerry Jones discusses injuries to Dallas Cowboys defensemen

The Dallas Cowboys (2-2) made it out of MetLife Stadium on Thursday with a 20-15 victory over the New York Giants (1-3), although they didn't escape unscathed. Star linebacker Micah Parsons (ankle) and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence (Foot) Both suffered injuries that prevented them from finishing the game.

said team owner Jerry Jones 105.3 The Fan Friday that both Parsons and Lawrence are “feeling good.”

“I’m glad they’re feeling good,” Jones said of Jon Machota of The athlete. “Both have a good feeling about it. That’s usually a good sign.”

Parsons initially underwent an X-ray of his left ankle, but it came back negative. He suffered the injury in the fourth quarter after playing offense for the Giants Greg Van Roten fell on his leg as he charged towards the passerby. Parsons had to be carried off the field and was seen walking cautiously as the team arrived back in Dallas on Friday morning. He will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury.

“I’ll be back in no time,” Lawrence said after the game.

He added: “It doesn’t hurt, but it’s going to be okay.”

The Cowboys take on the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-0) in Week 5 before hosting the Detroit Lions (2-1) the following week. Dallas hopes to have Parsons and Lawrence on the field against Pittsburgh and Detroit, two of the best teams in football.
