Medical officials reportedly report alarming number of fans taken to the infirmary during LSU vs. UCLA game

LSU led in the fourth quarter with 34:17 against University of California on Saturday. The problem was that if you look at the pictures of the spectators at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, the home team's attendance had surprisingly decreased in the second half. We learned the reason for this towards the end of the second half, when Bryce Koon spoke to some medical professionals on his way to the press box at the gameThey said the number of people taken to the “sick room” was over 70.

So the heat in Baton Rouge clearly had something to do with it. Temperatures in Baton Rouge were in the 90s toward the end of the game, and the heat was made worse by the humidity. Many fans required medical attention and there were even people who passed out in the stands. After the game, LSU head coach Brian Kelly commented on the situation.
