Official: Bayer Leverkusen vs. AC Milan starting eleven

Paulo Fonseca has named AC Milan's starting lineup for today's Champions League game against Bayer Leverkusen, with one change compared to the win over Lecce.

Those absent go in the game against the German champions were known so far: Ismael Bennacer is out after calf surgery, Alessandro Florenzi is recovering from knee surgery and Marco Sportiello had to undergo hand surgery.

Fonseca has opted to appoint Mike Maignan in goal, with a back four of Emerson Royal, Matteo Gabbia, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez in front of him. Strahinja Pavlovic was supposed to be in the starting lineup but instead takes a place on the bench.

Youssouf Fofana and Tijjani Reijnders retain their place as the starting midfield pairing, with Christian Pulisic on the right wing and Rafael Leao on the left wing, as expected, and Tammy Abraham up top.

Alvaro Morata is not yet at 100% as he continues to battle bursitis, so he starts on the bench and gives way an opportunity for Ruben Loftus-Cheek Who is more likely to be an attacking midfielder?
