The Giants' woes continue as star rookie Malik Nabers suffers a concussion in the loss to the Cowboys

Jones struggled before finding Nabers downfield, which was almost a good catch on a new set of downs.

While Nabers managed to keep both feet in, he was attacked Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs, who threw the ball loose due to an incompletion.

Nabers remained motionless on the ground before he was finally helped off the field. He was later diagnosed with a concussion.

“I thought he did a great job of controlling his boundaries,” head coach Brian Daboll told reporters after the game. “It was a perfect throw and when it went down, the ball was kind of shaken up. But he placed it exactly where he needed to place it for a scramble. It was close, a game of inches.”

Daboll said Nabers is “with the doctors” but he plans to report afterward.

Nabers posted an update on social media early Friday morning, saying he was “doing well.”

Nabers had 12 catches for 115 yards, his second straight game with more than 10 catches for at least 100 yards. After to ESPN, He is the first player in NFL history to record at least 25 receptions and three touchdowns in his first four games.

“He had another great game and a great performance for us, so we will continue to trust him,” Jones said of Nabers.

Since the Giants have a mini-bye until their next game on October 6th against the Giants Seattle Seahawks, Nabers will have a little more time to clear concussion protocol.
