Travis Scott's “Days Before Rodeo” rises to No. 1 on the Billboard 200

Travis Scott's 2014 mixtape days before the rodeo reaches No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated September 28) and climbs to No. 106 of 1 after the vinyl editions, sold exclusively on the artist's web store, were shipped to customers. According to Luminate, the set achieved 156,000 equivalent album units (up 1,295%) in the US for the tracking week ending September 19.

Of that, 150,000 are traditional album sales (making it the best-selling album of the week; it's No. 1 in Top Album Sales). Of that, 149,000 were vinyl sales – Scott's biggest vinyl week ever. It is also the biggest week on vinyl for a rap album, as well as the sixth-biggest week on vinyl across all genres since Luminate began tracking sales in 1991.

A widespread retail release beyond Scott's webstore for physical formats of the album has not been announced.

Eminem's chart-topper The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace) returns to the top 10 with a 42-7 lead following its deluxe reissue and CD release. The album was reissued with bonus tracks on September 13 via digital download services and streamers, while the original standard album was released in two CD variants on the same day. In the tracking week that ended September 19, The death of Slim Shady earned 48,000 equivalent album units (up 180%). Of these, 24,000 are from album sales (up 3,328%), 23,000 are from SEA units (up 43%; equivalent to 31.64 million official on-demand streams of the album's songs), and 1,000 are from TEA units (up 210%).
