Washington Commanders vs Cincinnati Bengals odds, expert tips, how to watch: Winless Bengals clear favorite

Another year, another 0-2 start for the Cincinnati Bengals. They've avoided an 0-3 start the last two years and have a chance to avoid another one on Monday night when they host the Washington Commanders. The Bengals are more than just a touchdown favorite after an unfortunate road loss in Kansas City.

If there's a silver lining in all of this for the Bengals, it's that quarterback Joe Burrow found his feet again in Week 2 and wide receiver Tee Higgins is expected to rejoin the lineup on Monday. His return would be a huge boost for both Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase, who has just 10 catches and 97 yards in the first two games of the season.

They also face a Washington pass defense that ranks 22nd in the league after two games and has recorded just two sacks (both by Clelin Ferrell, who is out this week). This could present opportunities for the Bengals.

On offense, Washington has Jayden Daniels, the No. 2 overall pick who has probably been the most effective rookie quarterback over the last two games. He has yet to throw a touchdown, but has completed 75.5 percent of his passes, hasn't lost the ball (although he has fumbled twice) and has rushed for 132 yards.

While the Commanders haven't won much in recent years, they are 6-3 against the spread as an underdog since the start of the 2023 season and have lost just two road games by more than seven points during that time. Only one of those losses was by more than eight points.
